University of Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke has been named to the First Team Preseason All-Big Ten by both coaches and media, according to an announcement from the conference on Thursday.

Stuelke, who is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, returns for her senior season as the leading scorer and rebounder for the Hawkeyes. Last season, she averaged 12.7 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. She started 32 games during the 2024-25 season and earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in consecutive years. In her freshman year, Stuelke was recognized as the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.

She is one of only 20 players in program history to record more than 1,100 points and 600 rebounds over a career.

Fans are invited to attend “Hawkeye Hoops from Downtown presented by HyVee” on Friday, Oct. 17. The event will take place at the outdoor basketball court behind Burge Residence Hall starting at 5:30 p.m. (CT). It offers an opportunity for attendees to see both the men’s and women’s basketball teams ahead of the new season. The event serves as an unofficial tipoff for the upcoming year.
