The University of Iowa women's basketball team has announced its nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Jan Jensen shared that the Hawkeyes will play seven home games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The team's preseason begins with an exhibition game against Ashland on October 30. The regular season starts at home versus Southern University on November 3, followed by a matchup with Evansville on November 9. Iowa's first in-state opponent will be Drake, visiting Iowa City on November 13. The Hawkeyes then travel to Cedar Falls to face UNI on November 16 and return home to play Fairfield on November 30.

Iowa's final nonconference road game is scheduled for December 10 against Iowa State as part of the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series. They close out their home nonconference slate by hosting Lindenwood on December 13.

The Hawkeyes will also compete in neutral-site games during the WBCA Showcase in Orlando, Florida, facing Baylor on November 20 and Miami (FL) on November 22. On December 20, they are set to play UConn, the reigning national champion, at the Women’s Champions Classic in Brooklyn, New York.

Reflecting on last season, head coach Jan Jensen stated: "Last season, The Hawkeyes earned two wins in the Big Ten Tournament and defeated Murray State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Iowa also secured its ninth straight 20-win season, the second-longest streak in program history. In her first year at the helm, head coach Jan Jensen added to the milestone by recording the second-most wins by a first-year head coach in program history."

Details regarding game times and television coverage will be released later this fall.
