University of Iowa senior offensive linemen Gennings Dunker and Logan Jones have been recognized on the Big Ten Conference Preseason Honors List. The announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday.

A media panel selected 15 student-athletes from all 18 conference schools for this honor. Dunker, who started 11 games as a junior, played a key role in Iowa's offensive line, which was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award in 2024. He earned second-team all-conference honors and was an academic all-district selection. Dunker's efforts contributed to Iowa's offense rushing for over 200 yards in seven games last season.

Jones, starting 12 games as a junior, received first-team all-conference recognition and was named a Phil Steele honorable mention All-American in 2024. The Council Bluffs native led the Hawkeye offensive line that allowed only 17 sacks and helped achieve a total of 2,564 rushing yards, marking the highest since 2002. Recently, Jones was also named a preseason second-team All-American by Walter Camp.

Over the past 12 seasons, Iowa has had 13 players included in the Big Ten Preseason Honors List. Notable names include Jay Higgins (2024), Cooper DeJean (2023), Jack Campbell (2022), Tyler Linderbaum (2021), A.J. Epenesa (2019), Noah Fant (2018), Josey Jewell (2017), C.J. Beathard (2016), Desmond King (2016), Drew Ott (2015) and Brandon Scherff (2014). Many of these athletes were later selected in the NFL Draft.

The Hawkeyes will start their 2025 season against UAlbany on August 30 at Duke Slater Field at Kinnick Stadium at 5 p.m. Central Time.

Tickets are still available for five home games: UAlbany on August 30, UMass on September 13, Penn State on October 18, Oregon on November 8, and Michigan State on November 22. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the provided number. Homecoming against Indiana on September 27 and Minnesota on October 25 are sold out.
