The Cedar Rapids Airport has collaborated with two airlines to offer special direct flights for fans traveling to select University of Iowa football games this fall.
Hawkeye supporters planning a trip to Los Angeles for the November 15 game against USC can use nonstop flights on Delta. The schedule includes a flight from Cedar Rapids (CID) to Los Angeles (LAX) on Friday, November 14 at 10 am CT, arriving at 12:05 pm PT. The return flight is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, departing LAX at 12:15 pm PT and arriving in Cedar Rapids at 6 pm CT.
For those attending the game against Penn State on October 18, American Airlines offers nonstop flights. Fans can travel from Philadelphia (PHL) to Cedar Rapids on Friday, October 17 at 10:50 am ET, landing at 5:45 pm CT. The return journey is set for Sunday, October 19 from Cedar Rapids at 1:51 pm CT, arriving in Philadelphia at 5:14 pm ET.
Delta also provides nonstop service for the Oregon game on November 8. Flights are available from Portland (PDX) to Cedar Rapids on Friday, November 7 at noon PT and returning on Sunday, November 9 from Cedar Rapids at 10 am CT.
Lastly, for the Michigan State game on November 22, Delta offers flights from Detroit (DTW) to Cedar Rapids on Friday, November 21 at 3:50 pm ET. Return flights depart Cedar Rapids on Sunday, November 23 at 11:20 am CT.
