The University of Iowa Athletic Strategic Communications Office has been recognized by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) with the Super 11 Award for the 2024 season. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the FWAA.

This marks the third time in six years that Iowa has received this honor, having previously been acknowledged in 2019 and 2021. The Super 11 list for 2024 also includes Army, California, Clemson, Navy, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.

According to the FWAA, this year's winners were chosen based on their excellent accessibility during game weeks and post-game interactions with players, coaches, and coordinators/assistant coaches. Other criteria include beat reporter access and adherence to decorum and protocols in press boxes and locker rooms as detailed in the 2024-25 FWAA Directory.

The Football Writers Association of America is a non-profit organization established in 1941. It comprises over 1,300 members across North America who cover college football professionally. This membership includes journalists, broadcasters, publicists, and key executives involved in various aspects of the sport. The FWAA oversees areas such as game-day operations, major awards distribution, conducting a national poll, and organizing its annual All-America teams.
