Offensive lineman Bryce George has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa football team. The announcement was made on Saturday by Moon Family Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz.
George, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 314 pounds, is a senior from Detroit, Michigan. He played for Ferris State where he made 41 appearances, including 38 starts. During his time there, he contributed to three Division II national title-winning teams. In 2024, he was honored as a Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America First Team honoree and was a two-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection. As a junior last season, he was named an Associated Press second-team All-American.
His performance helped Ferris State achieve the second-best scoring offense in Division II with an average of 45 points per game. The team's running game finished fifth nationally with an average of 263.8 yards per game and ranked second in the country in yards per rush at 6.83 in 2024.
In high school, George played both tight end and defensive end while also competing in basketball. He began his career at Marlette High School as a two-sport standout and led Edison to the Final Four on the basketball court in Division 3 in 2019. Additionally, he earned Bank Hoops Class C All-State accolades in basketball.
