Good Neighbor Meeting: Mar. 21, 2023, from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. (or longer if needed). You will need to register in advance for this meeting, which is being held electronically.

Modern Horizons, LLC has submitted a zoning map amendment (rezoning) on 9.83 acres of property located on the east side of Scales Bend Road approximately 170 feet south of Fox Run Drive. The rezoning would be from ID Interim Development to RS-4 PAD Single-Unit Residence District Planned Area Development. The request would be for an age restricted community (55+) with a single-unit residences and a clubhouse/common area on one lot

No formal staff review of the proposed rezoning has been completed, nor have Planning Commission or City Council considered the request. It is anticipated that this request will be considered at the April 4, 2023 Planning Commission meeting.

Please visit Planning and Zoning to view upcoming agendas and meeting information.

Good neighbor meetings are intended to allow an applicant to share the details of the application, answer questions, and receive feedback prior to formal consideration by the Planning Commission. Initially, the applicant will provide a brief description of the request. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity to answer any questions and/or voice concerns. City staff will be present to moderate and answer any procedural questions.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Ryan Rusnak, Planning Director, directly at (319) 626-5747 or rrusnak@northlibertyiowa.org. He will be able to answer any questions and/or make note of any concerns.
