Is green foliage part of your view from your window? Branching Out is a tree purchase program to help residents purchase trees for their property. Coralville Parks and Recreation recommends every residence have a minimum of one tree in both the front yard and the back yard. The Branching Out program allows residents to purchase high quality, hard wood trees from a reputable nursery that are known to thrive in Coralville, currently do not have a pest concern, and are not overplanted in Coralville. Prices are 30-40% off normal retail through this program.
As part of the Coralville 150th Anniversary celebration, a small, flat etched marker that can be placed at the base of the tree in its mulch bed will be given to anyone purchasing a tree to commemorate it as a 150th Anniversary Planting.
A tree donation to the local park system can also be made through Branching Out. The deadline has been extended to March 5, 2023. Learn more at www.coralville.org/branchingout.
