The City Council of the City of Coralville is accepting applications for appointments to the following Boards and Commissions:

Coralville Arts Commission: 3 openingsThe Coralville Arts Commission recommends and reviews policies, rules, regulations, ordinances and budgets relating to the Center for the Performing Arts and cultural functions of the City and makes such reports to the Council as the Commission deems in the public interest. (City Code, CH. 27) Meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at noon. Each opening is for a 3-year term ending December 31, 2025. One opening can be filled by a current resident of Johnson County. About the Arts Commission

Planning & Zoning Commission: 1 openingsThe Planning and Zoning Commission reviews and comments on Street, Park or Public Improvements as well as plans, plats and re-plats of subdivisions or re-subdivisions in or around the City limits. The Commission shall send its recommendations to the Council before there is a vote on these issues. It exercises all powers, duties & privileges in establishing the City Zoning Regulations and other related matters. (Code Book; CH. 23) Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. Who Can Apply

• Any current resident of Coralville is eligible and encouraged to apply for any Board and Commission openings.
• Any current resident of Johnson County is eligible and encouraged to apply for one Coralville Arts Commission opening.

Pick up an application at Coralville City Hall, 1512 7th Street, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm or download an application. 

Applications are due at City Hall, 1512 7th Street, Coralville, Iowa, 52241, or by e-mail to tjohnson@coralville.org, no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2023.  Mayor Meghann Foster will recommend appointees to the Council for approval in January 2023.
