Independence Day Schedule of City Services

Administrative Offices

City Hall, the administrative offices of Fire and Police, along with the Parks, Water, Wastewater, Streets, and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Monday, July 4.

City Hall

City Hall will be open for 4thFest information and restrooms on Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Library

The Library will be closed on Monday, July 4. 

Recreation Center

The Recreation Center will be open the following hours:

Sunday, July 3:

4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (restroom access only)

Monday, July 4:

9:00 am to 12:00 pm (restroom access only)

12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Recreation Center open for regular operations)

5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (restroom access only)

Indoor Pool

The Indoor Pool is closed for repairs until September.

Aquatic Center

The Coralville Community Aquatic Center will be open to the public on Sunday, July 3 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Monday, July 4 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Transit

There will be no Coralville Transit buses running on Monday, July 4.

Trash & Recycling

Trash, recycling, and yard waste will be collected one day later than usual the week of Independence Day (July 4 through July 8). Monday’s route will be picked up Tuesday; Tuesday’s route will be picked up Wednesday; Wednesday’s route will be picked up Thursday; and Thursday’s route will be picked up Friday.

As always, trash and recycling should be at the curb by 7:00 am the day of collection. For questions about trash and recycling collection, please call 319.248.1740.

4thFest Concert, Parade, Fireworks, & Activities
