City of Coralville recently issued the following announcement.

Coralville’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget covers City operations and projects from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.

Learn more about the City’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year at any of the following City Council meetings at Coralville City Hall, 1512 7th Street:

• Tuesday, February 8, at 6:30 pm: The proposed budget will be presented to the public, and a property tax levy hearing will be held.
• Tuesday, February 22, at 6:30 pm: The public hearing for the proposed budget will be held.
• Tuesday, March 8, at 6:30 pm: The City Council will vote on adopting the budget.
• Once approved, the budget will be officially filed with the State and the Johnson County Auditor by March 31, 2022.

How to Participate

Anyone is welcome to attend City Council meetings and participate in public hearings or speak during community comments. Coralville City Council meetings are open to all individuals regardless of language spoken or disability. Any person requiring a reasonable accommodation to participate should contact the City Clerk’s office at 319.248.1700 or tjohnson@coralville.org at least two business days prior to the meeting. Or, submit written comments to the City Clerk’s office at 1512 7th Street, Coralville, Iowa or by email at tjohnson@coralville.org no later than 5:00 pm on the day of the meeting.

Detailed information about the proposed budget will be published in the spring 2022 Connection magazine, which will be mailed to all Coralville addresses and will be available at www.coralville.org/connection the second week of February.
