City of Iowa City recently issued the following announcement.
Yard waste/organics materials placed at the curb on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, will not be collected.
Due to the winter weather advisory, the collection of the yellow-lid yard waste/organics carts will be suspended to divert all staff for garbage/recycling collection.
This will help garbage collection staff complete their routes prior to the snowstorm.
Organics/yard waste normally collected on Jan. 14 will be collected on Jan. 21, 2021.
