City of Coralville Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

City of Coralville recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Coralville will observe the following hours and services during the Thanksgiving holiday:

City Offices

City Hall and Police administrative offices, along with the Parks, Water, Wastewater, Streets, and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26.

Library

The Coralville Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. The Library services will be available during normal hours on Saturday, November 27.

Recreation Center & Indoor Pool

The Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 24, and will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. The Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will be open normal business hours Saturday, November 27. An Indoor Pool schedule with lap swim and open swim times can be found at www.coralville.org/indoorpool.

Transit

There will be no Coralville Transit service Thursday, November 25. Transit service will run a Saturday route and schedule on Friday, November 26 and Saturday, November 27. View bus schedules

Coralville Center for the Performing Arts

The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts box office will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. Tickets are available at www.coralvillearts.org.

Trash & Recycling

Please note the following dates for trash and recycling collection for the week of Thanksgiving and the following week:

  • Monday, November 22-Wednesday, November 24: regular collection
  • Thursday, November 25 will be picked up Monday, November 29
  • Monday, November 29  will be picked up Tuesday, November 30
  • Tuesday, November 30 will be picked up Wednesday, December 1
  • Wednesday, December 1 will be picked up Thursday, December 2
  • Thursday, December 2 will be picked up Friday, December 3

The Drop-off Recycling Center at 950 Hughes Street is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Thanksgiving.

As always, trash and recycling should be at the curb by 7:00 am the day of collection. Appliances and electronics will be picked up by appointment on Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19. For questions about trash and recycling collection, please call 319.248.1740.
