Downtown Shuttle service changes for Thanksgiving week

Announce

City of Iowa City recently issued the following announcement.

There will be no Downtown Free Shuttle transit service during Thanksgiving week, beginning Monday, Nov. 22, 2021.

Due to the University of Iowa Thanksgiving break, the Downtown Free Shuttle will not operate until Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.

All other services will be provided per normal schedules and times, though there will be no transit service on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021. Saturday schedules are in place Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27, at no cost to riders.

As a reminder, face coverings are required and must be properly worn (covering nose and mouth) to ride Iowa City Transit, due to federal COVID-19 regulations.

To access the current transit schedule, download the new Transit App. If you have questions, please call Iowa City Transit at 319-356-5151, or visit icgov.org/transit.
