Genbusiness010

City of Coralville issued the following announcement on October 13.

The City of Coralville will host a public meeting to share a concept plan that would allow the City to create a stream mitigation bank along the Clear Creek corridor in Coralville.

A presentation will be held during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Coralville City Hall, 1512 7th Street, and will provide an opportunity to learn more about the project and how to submit public comments. Face masks are required to be worn inside City Hall.

The goal of this project is to improve water quality and habitat within and along Clear Creek in Coralville. The project would include in-stream and bank stabilization practices and also water quality practices within the riparian zone. The project was recently submitted to the US Army Corps of Engineers, and is in public comment phase with the US Army Corp of Engineers.
