City of Coralville issued the following announcement on September 22.

City of Coralville trash customers will get their trash carts emptied one additional time in October, free of charge. Place any trash or smaller items in the cart on the day designated.  As usual, tag extra bags of trash that don’t fit in the cart.

Free trash cart collection dates:

• Friday, October 1, 2021: For homes with regular trash collection on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
• Monday, October 4, 2021: For homes with regular trash collection on Thursday

This extra one-time collection is to empty trash carts only, and is in addition to the regular trash collection for that week, as well as Mayor's Clean Up Week. You may still set out recycling, yard waste, and your trash cart on your regular trash collection day.
