The University of Iowa men's basketball team is set to face Ole Miss in the opening game of the 2025 Acrisure Classic. The announcement was made by Total Sports Consulting, stating that the game will take place on November 25 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
The match between Iowa and Ole Miss is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. (CT). Iowa shares a four-team bracket with Grand Canyon and Utah, who will play at 11 p.m. The winners from these games will compete against each other at 8:30 p.m. on November 26, while the losing teams will play at 11 p.m.
Both matches are set to be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.
Tickets for the event will be available starting Friday, July 25 at noon through Ticketmaster.com or at the Ticketmaster Box Office located at Acrisure Arena. Admission grants access to all games scheduled for that day.
This upcoming game marks the first meeting between Iowa and Ole Miss in their series history. It also represents Iowa's first encounter with an SEC opponent since they faced Auburn in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
Iowa holds a record of 1-0 against Grand Canyon after defeating them in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and has a record of 1-2 against Utah, having played them in recent seasons including last year's neutral site matchup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
