Weather permitting, starting on Monday, March 21, 2022, American Legion Road will be closed to through traffic 200 feet east of Buckingham Lane to Arlington Drive. This is in addition to the closure from Arlington Drive to Barrington Road that went into effect last fall.
This closure will facilitate utility and pavement reconstruction associated with the American Legion Road Improvements Project. A detour route will be posted utilizing Scott Boulevard, Court Street and Taft Avenue. It is anticipated that this phase of the project will be completed by August 31, 2022.
Motorists are to take note of this construction work and allow extra travel time or seek an alternate route during this time period. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling in all construction areas.
