Earth Expo coming to Robert A. Lee Rec Center April 2

Earth Expo will be held from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center.

This family-friendly event features nearly a dozen local organizations coming together for environmentally fun activities and booths. These organizations will be showcasing opportunities to learn about the environment and sustainable actions both children and adults can practice.

Activities include making a tree cookie necklace, plant care lessons, animal tracking lessons, and a lot more. Current exhibitors include American Resiliency, Bur Oak Land Trust, Good Neighbor Iowa, the Sierra Club, Table to Table, Trees Forever, and the University of Iowa Flood Center. 

The event is a collaboration between Green Iowa AmeriCorps, the Corridor Community Action Network, Iowa City Parks and Recreation, and Iowa City Climate Action and Outreach.
