The Iowa women’s basketball team defeated Dartmouth, 92-54, on Wednesday afternoon inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. All available 14 Hawkeye players saw action in today’s game, and 11 scored

All-American Caitlin Clark eclipsed 2,000 career points in her 75th game, which now ties her with Elena Delle Donne for the fastest NCAA Division I women’s basketball player to do so. Clark is the fourth Hawkeye women’s basketball player to score 2,000 points and the seventh Iowa men’s and women’s basketball player to score 2,000 points. On top of this milestone, Clark registered her 31st career double-double finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.

In the first three minutes of the game, Iowa was up 16-2, with McKenna Warnock and Monika Czinano having seven and six points apiece. Warnock finished with 14 points and Czinano finished with 20. Kate Martin had seven assists in the first quarter, to finish with a career-high 13 assists.

Iowa forced turnovers in the second to hold Dartmouth to only five points. Seven of the team’s 20 points came from the bench, as Molly Davis had three points and Taylor McCabe and Hannah Stuelke both had two. The Hawkeyes went into halftime up by 30 points.

A steal by Warnock gave Czinano a fast break layup to start the third quarter. Iowa continued to push the pace, going on a 6-0 run from AJ Ediger and Jada Gyamfi in the final minutes of the game. Ediger recorded a new career-high 10 points and Gyamfi scored her first collegiate basket.

• Clark is the second player in Big Ten women’s basketball history to have registered more than 2,000 points, 550 assists, 520 rebounds, 110 steals, and 40 blocks in a career.
• Clark is the first Iowa men’s or women’s basketball player to eclipse more than 2,000 points, 550 assists, 520 rebounds, 110 steals, and 40 blocks in a career.
• Clark has netted a 3-point basket in 32 straight games. She has hit at least one 3-pointer in 73 career games.
• Clark is the only player in the nation with more than 340 points, 90 rebounds, 85 assists, and 25 steals this year.
• It was Iowa’s highest-scoring first quarter of the season. (34)
• 34 points in the first quarter also tie for the sixth most in school history.
• Iowa has had three 30 or more-point quarters this season.
• Czinano reached double figures for the 10th time this year, the fifth time with 20 or more points.
• Martin had a career-high 13 assists.
• It was Iowa’s ninth win by 10 or more points this season.
• Iowa has welcomed more than 8,100 fans into Carver-Hawkeye Arena in six straight contests.
• Iowa is now 5-0 against Ivy League members.
• McKenna Warnock now has 617 career boards and ranks 19th all-time at Iowa.
• Martin now ranks 19th all-time at Iowa with 291 career assists.
• Clark now ranks 27th all-time in career rebounds with 533.
• Warnock now has 146 career 3-pointers and ranks 12th all-time at Iowa.
