The construction of the First Avenue and Scott Boulevard roundabout will continue through early September due to various delays associated with the project.
The City has been working with the contractor throughout these delays in order to reach completion as quickly as possible.
Upcoming intersection closure
Those traveling through the area can expect a complete closure of the First Avenue and Scott Boulevard intersection near the end of August prior to the opening of the roundabout. This closure will last a minimum of three days up to a maximum of seven days. Advance notification will be provided when exact dates are determined.
During the closure, a detour route will be posted and includes N Dodge Street, N Governor Street, Jefferson Street, Market Street, Evans Street, Muscatine Avenue, Court Street, and First Avenue.
