The 2022 Energy Blitz reached 931 households in the Lucas Farms Neighborhood on Saturday, April 23.
With the help of 50 volunteers, Energy Saving Kits were delivered to neighborhood doorsteps in the morning. The kits, containing LED bulbs and other efficiency-related devices, are estimated to save each household $75 each year in energy costs and avert more than 500,000 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions!
Also, 140 pounds of old batteries and 90 pounds of light bulbs for recycling were picked up by our volunteers later in the afternoon! We can't wait to do it all again in another neighborhood next year!
