University of Iowa football player Logan Jones has been selected as a USA Today Preseason Second Team All-American, according to an announcement made by the publication on Wednesday.

Jones, a senior center standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 302 pounds, has also received recognition this fall by being named to the Rimington, Lombardi, and Outland Trophy Watch Lists. Earlier in the month, he was chosen as a preseason second-team All-American by Walter Camp and earned third-team All-America honors from Athlon and Phil Steele.

Last season, Jones started 12 games for the Hawkeyes. He received first-team All-Big Ten honors and was given honorable mention All-America recognition from Phil Steele. As the anchor of Iowa’s offensive line, Jones contributed to allowing only 17 sacks during the season and helped lead the team to rush for 2,564 yards—the highest total since 2002.

Iowa will begin its 2025 football season against UAlbany on August 30 at Kinnick Stadium. The game is sold out and scheduled to start at 5 p.m. CT with television coverage on FS1.
