On Sunday, April 27, former Liberty High School standouts Brynlee Slockett and Kara Maiers’ current college team, the Northern Iowa Panthers, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Marian Kneer Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 5 p.m. at UNI-Dome against Valparaiso Beacons.
