The University of Iowa volleyball program has appointed Olivia Larsen as its new Director of Operations. The announcement was made by head coach Jim Barnes.
Larsen is returning to the university after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2024. She previously worked with the volleyball program as a student manager from 2021 to 2023 and also served as interim director of volleyball operations during the 2021 season. In that position, she was responsible for creating weekly itineraries for staff and student-athletes, organizing travel arrangements for the team and staff, and acting as the main contact between the volleyball program, support staff, and departmental staff.
Before rejoining Iowa, Larsen worked at Sidney High School in Iowa as a fourth grade teacher, head volleyball coach, and co-head softball coach.
“I am thrilled to welcome Olivia back to our program,” said head coach Jim Barnes. “Her experience with our team and her organizational skills make her an excellent fit for this important role.”
