On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Iowa City High School standout Carey Koenig’s current college team, the Drake Bulldogs, lost 9-7 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
The game took place at UNI-Dome. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Hawks this season.
The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. at UNI-Dome against Loyola Ramblers.
Iowa is set to host No. 9 Nebraska in a men’s basketball game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City on Tuesday, February 17.
The University of Iowa football team lost to Iowa State 16-13 on Saturday in the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series at Jack Trice Stadium.
The University of Iowa women’s volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory over Loyola Chicago on Saturday at Xtream Arena, winning the Kwik Star Klassic and improving to a 6-0 record for the season.
